Brooms

There are many ways to traverse the open world of Hogwarts Legacy. You can tame and then ride a creature (mount), you can activate and then revisit floo flames, and then there's the centuries-old standard for witches and wizards of all stripes--the broom. In this game, brooms come in different styles and flavors. As we learn about the different types of brooms in the game, we will be updating this page with details so you can decide which broom is best for you.

While brooms are compact and have tight turning radii, the downfall is that you can't soar through the sky on a broom. It's designed for hovering above the ground. It was confirmed during the second gameplay showcase video that there is a broom merchant with Hogsmeade (presumably at the Quality Quidditch Supply shoppe) who will give prototype brooms to the main character in exchange for feedback on how the broom performs. That same merchant is a source for upgrades to the broom as well. The broom mechanic has a stamina meter, which dictates if and for how long you can apply bonus energy in order to increase the height above the ground for short bursts.

While taking broom-riding class, Professor Kogawa loans you one of the school's many generic brooms with which you can practice your flying.
