Like most open-world games, there are collectables to be had if you know where to look.
Ancient Magic Artifacts
While we don't know what they do yet, these artifacts are main quest items that are key to solving the ancient magic crisis effecting the school. One of these artifacts is visible during the gameplay reveal trailer at the very end. On activation, it appears to release an egg of some kind. There should be twenty of these in total.
Astronomy Tables
There are 14 total tables in the whole of the Highland map.
- 1 in Hogwarts
Broom Balloons
These are floating balloons meant to test your broom-flying abilities. There are 32 sets of these throughout the Highlands.
Chests
Another game item that we'll classify under "collectable" are the chests. We know there are going to be tons of chests to open like in any open world game. Here is a basic breakdown of chest locations:
- 33 in Hogwarts
- 5 in Hogsmeade
- 4 in Bainburgh
- 4 in Pitt-Upon-Ford
- 3 in Lower Hogsfield
Eyeball Chests
These are chests that have an eyeball mounted to the front of the chest. They are naturally unlocked but will quickly lock themselves once they see any human. Simply casting invisibility on yourself prior to approaching the chest will bypass its defenses. While we can't be 100% sure, it appears each chest contains 500gp.
